An Antistatic Big Bag is an FIBC packaging solution for handling sensitive, powdered, and flammable materials. It helps control static electricity during filling, handling, and discharge.
At Sayman Polymer, this product is produced in Type A, Type B, Type C, and Type D structures in accordance with IEC 61340-4-4 requirements.
Antistatic Big Bags are divided into four groups based on their level of protection against static electricity: Type A, Type B, Type C, and Type D. The right type depends on product sensitivity, the presence of flammable dust, environmental conditions, and production line safety requirements.
This type of big bag provides no special electrostatic protection and is suitable only for environments where there is no risk of dust, gas, or vapor explosion.
Application: Suitable for non-flammable materials and low-risk environments.
A Type B Big Bag is structurally similar to Type A, but the fabric is designed to prevent high-energy propagating brush discharges. This type does not require grounding.
Application: Suitable for dry powders and controlled-risk materials in environments without flammable gas or vapor.
A Type C Big Bag uses conductive yarns to discharge static electricity from the bag surface. It must be properly connected to a grounding system during use.
Application: Suitable for flammable powdered materials and environments where precise static control is essential.
A Type D Big Bag is produced with a special structure that allows safe static dissipation without direct grounding.

For materials with a lower ignition risk. In non-flammable atmospheres, Type A, Type B, Type C, and Type D may be used. In environments with flammable dust, Type B, Type C, and Type D are more suitable. In environments with gas or highly sensitive dust, only Type C and Type D are recommended.
For materials with a medium sensitivity to ignition. In non-flammable atmospheres or environments with flammable dust, Type B, Type C, and Type D can be used. In higher-risk environments, such as the presence of flammable gases or highly sensitive dust, Type C and Type D are safer choices.
For materials with very high ignition sensitivity. In these conditions, Type C and Type D are typically the suitable options because controlling static charge and reducing spark risk is highly critical.
